State Designation

The Chris Elliot Missouri Title Professional Program (CEMTPP) Designation is designed to recognize land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication required to safely and efficiently transfer real property in the State of Missouri. The MTP is a measure of achievement and commitment to the individuals career development in the industry.  

This Designation is meant to establish a high set of standards in the Title Industry in Missouri as well as to encourage participation in MLTA.  

Purpose

  • Reward those that have proven to be the Best of the Best in the Title Industry in Missouri
  • Establish higher standards in the Title Industry in Missouri
  • Encourage participation in the Missouri Land Title Association
  • Recognize and honor those who have achieved the higher standards required for the designation

Requirements

  • Complete and score points in all sections. A total of 1000 points or more over a three year period are required. Section 2 and 5 are not restricted to 3 years. Please note that you cannot use any given event in more than 1 category.
  • Application will be reviewed and approved by the Missouri Title Professional Review Committee
  • Have a Missouri Title Insurance Producers License.
  • Be a member in good standing of the MLTA or be employed by an underwriter or agent member in good standing
  • Adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Missouri Land Title Association
  • Not have had a title insurance producer’s license or bar license suspended or revoked by the State of Missouri or any other State or governmental authority
  • The designation will be awarded at the MLTA Annual Convention
  • The deadline for consideration is July 1st, before MLTA Annual Convention
  • $100 non-refundable application fee
  • Renew Missouri Title Professional Designation every three (3) years by submitting updated application and application fee
