The MLTA Legislative and Judicial Committee is responsible for monitoring legislative and judicial matters that affect MLTA members. The Committee evaluates legislation to determine whether MLTA will support or oppose the proposed bills. Any legislation proposed by MLTA originates from the Committee before it is sent to the Board of Directors for approval. The Committee also coordinates lobbying efforts in conjunction with Jim Durham, MLTA’s representative in Jefferson City. Committee members also read and review pertinent case law that impacts our industry and makes recommendations on what action MLTA should take.
